Direttamente dai creatori di “ICO” e “Shadow of the Colossus”, ecco “The Last Guardian” per PS3; tra questo e Heavy Rain ho la netta sensazione che la PS3 si avvicini sempre più per essere acquistata il prossimo anno.
Semplicemente eccezionale!

Ieri sera finalmente ci troviamo in quattro a fare una partita a Buzz con la nuova edizione, dedicata esclusivamente all’Italia.
Per chi non lo sapesse, Buzz è un gioco a quiz per le console della Sony (PS2, PS3 e PSP); nei casi delle versioni da casa, c’è un controller particolare con quattro pulsantiere, ognuna da assegnare a ciascun giocatore.
I Relentless Software non hanno inventato nulla di rivoluzionario (nel 1984 la Suncom aveva già inventato un sistema simile per il Commodore 64, PQ: the party quiz game), però sono riusciti a costruire una immediatezza e una simpatia dei personaggi che ha permesso di creare moltissime edizioni.
C’è un però…e questo però nasce dalla fine delle partite di ieri sera.
L’ultimo prodotto, uscito opportunamente localizzato in altri paesi (vedi Belgio, Francia, Germania…e così via), sembra sia stato fatto un po’ di fretta; presentazione molto breve, minore caratterizzazione dei personaggi e qualche errore di design….ma non è ancora quella la delusione.
Al termine della partita, un premio virtuale è assegnato al vincitore con una scenetta che, solitamente, è molto carina e simpatica.
In questo caso, no…è stata veramente orrenda.
Il premio principale assegnato al vincitore è stata….”una zolla che arriva direttamente dalla villa di Berlusconi”!!!
“Sarà un caso”, ci diciamo stupefatti, “…proviamo con un’altra partita…”; va così pure per la seconda…stesso premio con una frase un po’ cambiata da parte del presentatore.
Non potevo credere ai miei occhi e alle mie orecchie…i casi sono due:
1) All’estero pensano che ormai siamo in una dittatura, il cui principale protagonista è Silvio Berlusconi – sire d’Italia.
2) Il Berlusca, pur di farsi pubblicità, è riuscito a fare un accordo economico con i Relentless e inserirsi nel gioco.
Un saluto costernato, pronto per un’altra, e forse l’ultima, settimana full di 7 giorni di vero delirio lavorativo.

I don’t like tie-in; in the majority of the releases they are an awful mix of mini games.
There are some examples in the history where the videogames have tried to extend the history of the film and the results have been absolutely brilliant!!
Ghostbuster (David Crane – Activision, Commodore 64), Ghostbuster 2 (Dynamix, Activision, PC version), Alien (Argus Press Software, Spectrum and Commodore 64) and one of the latest titles (waiting for Ghostbuster on June 2009) “The Warriors” for Playstation 2 and PSP.
Playing the game, you can live the history of the film and the events that come before it.
Rockstar games, the GTA’s people, made a really great job for both PS2 and PSP version. I didn’t see the XBOX 1 version but I think it’s almost the same.
Great because of the script, the game gives a boost to the player immediatly when you see the computer graphic intro that is the same of the film, where you can read the credits of the game in (awesome!).
On PSP, the game is a masterpiece because of its conversion; I finished on the PS2 version and I decided to buy it for my PSP.
You can play as its best if you put the ISO content on your memory stick (if your PSP is able to do it); in this way the loading times are really really fast and this feature can improve its playbility.
